see chapter anaphylaxis
Today in Switzerland, there are no desensitisation therapies available for severe peanut and/or tree nut allergy sufferers with potential anaphylaxis. Currently, therefore, the respective allergen, as diagnosed and instructed by your allergist, must be strictly avoided.
There are, however, therapies available to desensitze eg. against hen's egg ovalbumin.
Various studies are currently conducted researching therapies to desensitise also for these allergy forms. Our organisation eg. participates in one such study in Switzerland.
Allergists expect that such therapies to desensitize patients against peanut / tree nut allergies with anaphylaxis will take still quite a few years to be available in Switzerland as admitted treatment.
