Risk Factors



The main risk factors for anaphylaxis are:

  • Preexisting asthma
  • Previous anaphylactic reaction
  • Nature and quantity of the allergen (peanuts and tree nuts are the most dangerous)
  • Age of the patient (young people are most commonly affected)
